5:00 pm – 8:30 pm Join us for our Kickoff Reception and Stadium tour. The reception will be held in the University Suite overlooking the field. Cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Bus departs Ohio Stadium to return to the Marriott. The bus will depart approximately every 20 minutes until 8:30 pm.

2:45 pm – 3:15 pm Hardwood Lumber Market Conditions – Dave Caldwell, Hardwood Market Report – Dave will discuss current market conditions and share his insights on what the future holds for the hardwood industry.

4:15 pm – 5:30 pm Hardwood Products Sector Panel – A panel of hardwood industry experts representing different sectors of the industry (lumber, furniture, flooring, pallets, log exports, etc.) will share their insights on what is happening in his business area, take a look down the road on where the industry may be headed, and answer your questions.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Forest Legacy – Chris Schiefer, Nationwide Insurance and Financial Services – Chris will be discussing “Land as Your Legacy”, generational planning for the land that you have nurtured.

Timber harvesting, forest stand improvement, food plots and invasive species control are options. Learn Key tips on what quality deer, wild turkey and other wildlife habitat practices and programs to build it and they will come.
4:05 pm – 4:45 pm Oak Regeneration – Dave Apsley, Natural Resources Specialist, Ohio State University Extension – This program is designed to help woodland owners understand the ecological and economic importance of oak in Ohio and provide them with information on how they can better manage their oak woodlands.
4:50 pm – 5:30 pm Woodland Management – Randy & Koral Clum, Clum Forestry Consultants – Randy and Koral, 2017 Ohio Tree Farmers of the Year and 2018 National Tree Farmers of the Year will share some tips on how to properly manage your woodland.
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm President’s Reception – Join us for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and spend some time visiting with our exhibitors. The Ohio Tree Farm Committee will be holding a gun raffle to raise funds for Camp Canopy and OTFC’s valuable forestry programs. Winning bidders in the Tree Farm Silent Auction may pay for and pick up their merchandise during the reception.
